When You Love Someone... | #BehindTheBlogger

This post is my submission into this week's Behind The Blogger series. I hope you enjoy learning a bit about me, and then continue to read the posts from my fellow bloggers listed at the bottom of this post.

When you love someone, you don't try to change them. You love them for who they are. You love them for all their flaws, all their beauty, everything. You love them during football season, or baseball or hockey. Whatever they love, you should show at least a little interest in learning. And you love them when they fall asleep while you're binging on old episodes of Grey's Anatomy or Game of Thrones.

When you love someone, you compromise. You learn that a little give and take sometimes is necessary. You learn that not all fights are worth winning, let alone worth fighting. You learn when to let go and let God.

When you love someone, you learn that they may not have all the same interests with you. They may not like watching Grey's Anatomy, but they will because they love you. And you'll sit through old episodes of Frasier because that's what he loves. They will learn to love your quirks, and fandom, and you'll learn to love the old 80s songs he seems to like (even though they're not your 80s songs).

When you love someone, you do all this for them. And they do it all for you, too.
When you love someone, it's give and take.

Thank you for reading a story from #BehindTheBlogger Hop. Every 2 weeks a group of bloggers is given a writing prompt. These prompts are very open ended, so our bloggers can write about whatever they desire. The main rule is that their blog post directly relates to the topic of that week. The point of this hop is for our readers to get to know us on a personal level.  Please hop along and read all of the blog posts in this weeks hop. Just click the links below. If you want real and raw emotion, then you will find it here. After you read each post, please comment and share. We want to get to know you too!

  1. Love is definitely a give and take. I think some people don't realize that when coming in to a relationship; they think you have to like all the same things. But that's not true. Thanks for sharing your take on love!
