#BehindTheBlogger: Dear 2016 Me

So this is my second post in this series. I enjoy letting my readers into my life a little. I actually started this blog as a place to vent, and then it just kept growing to where now I'm practically a review blog. I have not decided if that is where I'd like to stay, or if I'd like to redesign and re-brand. That will be decided this year.

So this is a letter to myself. I am not one to make resolutions as I cannot keep them. And I'll be regrettable. So here's a little letter to myself for the new year. I'd love to hear your comments! And be sure to follow the linky at the bottom to all the other bloggers!

Dear 2016 Me.

Congrats, you made it another year. You're another year older (ugh yes, we'll be 30 this year) and wiser. You're going to have a great year. Know how I know? Because we have some awesome plans.

This year we have some big plans, and we're going to execute them. Let's make a list! We'll also come back to this list at the end of the year to see if we made it!

-Switch from Blogger to Wordpress. Yes! Finally! I've been meaning to, but this year I'm actually going to do it. I'm going to find someone (preferably local) that can help me out and show me what to do. I'm so nervous because I've never used PHP or anything like that. So I want someone to hold my hand.

-Organize my life! Yasss hunty! We need this! Starting with a new desk and drawer system (found one at Ikea that I want). Living in an apartment is hard! So I need a desk that flows right in the living area. After that, we're going to file away everything! Everyday! No papers should be left on the desk when I'm done!

-Figure out how to make the most of the little space I have in the kitchen. It's so hard to have so much, yet so few cupboards! I need to find some organizer things for the cupboards to make my life easier.

-Try new things! I'm one of those people who stick to what they know. I hate trying new foods because I'm already so picky. But I think I need to change that. Maybe then my son will, too.

-SAVE MONEY. Want to get the first step of Dave Ramsey's Baby Steps done. We need to have something of a savings in place just in case. And starting with a $1K savings would be perfect.

-Expand my skills, and polish my resume. I'd like to get a job this year. I've been a stay at home mom for almost 5 years now. I'm ready to get back into the workforce. I miss conversating with adults on a daily basis. Yes, my husband is an adult. No, he doesn't always count LOL. I need more interactions! I want to find something part time, preferably out of the home. But I'm OK with working from home. I just really want a job. LOL. Our budget could breathe easier.

-Go back to school. This is the biggest goal of this year. I'm ready, I know what I want to do. I just need to execute it! Wish me luck!

Most of all, 2016 me, be kind, patient, loving, caring, thoughtful, helpful. Be a good example for the kids. Maybe a little less on the potty mouth (oh, but I love it so much).

OH - and most of all - figure out what will work to get Bella potty trained!!!

Have a great time this year!

Thank you for reading a story from #BehindTheBlogger Hop. Every 2 weeks a group of bloggers is given a writing prompt. These prompts are very open ended, so our bloggers can write about whatever they desire. The main rule is that their blog post directly relates to the topic of that week. The point of this hop is for our readers to get to know us on a personal level.  Please hop along and read all of the blog posts in this weeks hop. Just click the links below. If you want real and raw emotion, then you will find it here. After you read each post, please comment and share. We want to get to know you too!
