I don't know about your kids, but my 10-year-old hates that I make him drink water. He literally will sit there, and make faces, and give a little shake as if it has a bad taste. He is super over-dramatic. But that is why we like to buy flavor drops to put in the water, then he can't complain because it is flavored.
Recently, the Coca-Cola company sent us a package with some of the newest products from Dasani. They sent the sparkling flavored water, and Dasani Drops Infusions. Keep on reading after the jump to see more info, including my review and coupon offers for Target!
So like I said before, my son HATES to drink water. He'd rather not drink anything at all. So drops like this that go in water are perfect for him. The Dasani Sparkling in the can is perfect, too. Because the thinks he is drinking soda, when really its flavored water. Target sells the water in 12 packs, so it looks like we just bought him soda. We find it kinda funny, actually.
The cans come in Black Cherry. The drops come in two "spa-inspired" flavors, lime and strawberry basil. With the strawberry, I don't even taste the basil, neither does my son. The drops are unsweetened (another perk! No need for more sugar in his life) and naturally flavored. They are small enough to fit in my purse, making them super easy to take with us anywhere, even to restaurants.
I like to drink these, too. I'm trying to drink more water on a daily basis, and sometimes I just need that carbonation. So instead of reaching for a soda, I'll grab one of these. It fills that urge and it's water! I love that it isn't super sweet, and I don't feel guilty if my toddler wants a sip, too. I don't feel guilty drinking this either! Those of us who are trying to eat and drink healthier have all felt that guilt from eating or drinking something that we know we shouldn't. Soda is one of my biggest guilty pleasures. This can of sparkling water helps with that, minus the guilt.
Before you rush out the door to buy your own, you need to download the Cartwheel app from Target. This app will help you save money on things you buy already, and there's a limited time discount for the Dasani Sparkling on there!
You can download the Cartwheel app on iTunes and Google Play.
What are some tricks you have used to trick your kid(s) into eating healthier?
