Potty Training.... Uh Oh.

I think we've come to that time in my toddlers life where she wants to potty train...

So the other day we found Bella naked after she took off her diaper during her nap time. Thankfully, no accidents on my bed (she naps in our bed). But still. Was a bit shocked to see a naked toddler in my bed. So we brought her downstairs and put a diaper on. Gave her a cup of water, and within minutes she was naked again..... She peed in her diaper. Then took it off! So after dinner, we watched her. She started pulling at her diaper. We pulled out the potty we bought months and months ago. She sat on it for a little. We knew a #2 was coming. But after a while we forgot she didn't have a diaper on. We were all upstairs putting away clothes. She went into my closet, and when she came out she had something on her hand... it was poo! Ew. She pooed in my closet (thankfully it was "intact").

Needless to say, she's ready to potty train. Just when we're going out of town.

So, what are some tips, tricks and must do's when we get back into town? My son wasn't potty trained till he was almost 4 1/2! He wanted nothing to do with the potty. Bella likes to flush it, so that's a plus. But what do I do!? Eric is 10, its been so long, I don't know what to do!

Sharing Sparkle Time with Your Family

I don't know about your kids, but my 10-year-old hates that I make him drink water. He literally will sit there, and make faces, and give a little shake as if it has a bad taste. He is super over-dramatic. But that is why we like to buy flavor drops to put in the water, then he can't complain because it is flavored.

Recently, the Coca-Cola company sent us a package with some of the newest products from Dasani. They sent the sparkling flavored water, and Dasani Drops Infusions. Keep on reading after the jump to see more info, including my review and coupon offers for Target!

"Momma Don't You Worry"

As moms, we often want to keep treating our kids like little kids, no matter what their age. We forget that time has passed and that we need to let our kids be independent, or act their age. Of course, then there is the fact that our kids like to act as if they are older than they are. They're 6 going on 26, remember?

I was sent this cute little story that describes just that. To me, it reads more like a ling poem (but that's just me). It's about a kid who's telling his mom that he is old enough to do what he would like. He doesn't have to hold hands and he won't get lost. But then he does get lost in the store. And of course realizes that he is only 6, and still needs his mom. It's an adorable little story that I'm sure we can all relate to.

This book is called Momma Don't You Worry, and its the child speaking to the mother the whole time. I think its adorable, and worth the $1.29.
