Life Changes...

I've needed to make a life change for a while. And I've tried here and there from time to time. Most of the time with no results. When I try something and it has no results, that's when I give up. I don't want to continue it any more, knowing that since nothing has changed,  nothing probably never will.

Terrible Two's ... and some worries.

We are encountering the terrible two's. She is only 20 months. She is already showing that attitude that girls are supposedly known to have. She throws that attitude out like we throw out garbage. If she isn't happy, she lets you know.
 She really is a diva.

I don't remember this with my son. Then again, I was a working mom when he was around this age, so maybe he was but I didn't see it because he threw that attitude to whoever he was with at that time (my sister, my mom, daycare)?
He is so grown up now! He will be 10 this year!

AMEX BlueBird – Prepaid acct w/Checks!

I have a Bluebird account, and so far I love it. I get real checks that I can use to pay rent with. Simply authorize the check before hand, and it sets the money aside so that way when I give the check to my landlord, it is there and comes out as fast as a debit! This ensures I never spend more than I have, even with checks. It also comes with a debit/AMEX card that can be used anywhere AMEX is accepted.
Best of all, there are NO FEES!
No monthly fees!
No transaction fees!
No overdraft fees!
No minimum balance required!
They even have an app to allow you to easily keep track of all your spending. You can set up a savings account (set aside) or you can create sub accounts for your spouse, or kids! Pay your kids allowance with their card!
Sign up for this account now!
(you cannot have an AMEX Serve account – if you do, you must close it and wait a few weeks)

I have been seeing wall decals everywhere. Even Dollar Tree has some available. Using wall decals is an easy and affordable way to decorate and to bring some life into a room.

It's perfect for apartments because most of us in apartments can't paint them (unless you live in New York and you purchased your apartment, in which case you can do whatever the heck you want to do). But for the rest of the country, apartments aren't something you own, but rather somewhere you rent.

Spring is Here... Time For Spring Cleaning.

If you're a homeowner, then springtime is more than just about spring cleaning.
you need to be on the lookout for tiny creatures that charge homeowners about $5 BILLION in property damage each year:

The warm temps, rain and humidity is what lures the termites away from their nests and into your home. And most of the time, termite damage is NOT covered by your homeowners insurance.

This is when Truly Nolen comes into play. They will Truly make sure that your home is free from pests like these, and will be your best defense against these little critters.

Truly Nolen sent me a few items that relate to termites.

A small wrench to tighten pipes. Termites love moisture!
Number 2 pencil because mud tunnels are pencil-sized tubes that protrude from a house's exterior walls and serve as an environment of protection and moisture for termites.
Measuring tape so that way you can be sure that your home has the recommended 6 to 8 inches between ground level and porch steps, lattice work, door or window frames. (here in AZ I'm not sure many houses have that much clearance!!)
Small flashlight to help search for rippled or sunken traces behind wall coverings, which is an indication of a termite infestation.
And finally, a Truly Nolen stress ball to help keep me calm while preparing.

Thankfully, I live in an apartment, and I hope that I don't have to worry about this (even if I did, I wouldn't have to pay out of pocket). But these are important notes for homeowners.

Since I am in Arizona, we haven't had much moisture yet this year, and our monsoon season doesn't start till around Fathers Day.

If you're a homeowner, and you aren't sure if you have termites, I suggest you start looking around!

Or you can call the Truly Nolen location near you!

*I was not compensated to post, but I was sent the items mentioned in the post*
