That is a great opening! That was the opening statement in the email sent to me, and that is what got me interested in this campaign. I have a daughter, and I plan to teach her that girls can do anything they want! Girls should not be held to any stereotypical box that people think girls should fit into. I also explain this to my son! I make sure he understands girls can play sports like football, girls can do whatever boys can do. Being a girl isn't a disability, or something that should hold you back. Be proud to be a girl. Stand up, stand for a cause, play the sport you love, become the scientist that cures cancer. Do whatever your heart desires! Don't let anyone stop you.
The COVERGIRL #GirlsCan campaign promotes the empowerment of women by encouraging them to break down barriers and turn "can't" into "can". COVERGIRL is turning "can't" into "can" by donating $50,000 to Dress For Success. If you aren't familiar, Dress For Success helps disadvantaged women find jobs by providing professional clothing, a network of support and even career development tools. They started in 1997, and since then they've helped more than 775,000 women worldwide.
To help this movement, the #GirlsCan mascara comes in two varieties at Walmart everyday low prices: Flamed Out and Professional All-in-One.
For this campaign, COVERGIRL sent me the Flamed Out Mascara and a $50 Walmart gift card to create an inspirational look. See the #GirlsCan on the label. That's what you want to look for! This is how you can help COVERGIRL donate to Dress For Success.
And this is what I bought with the gift card.
Originally that pot of brown eyeshadow was a pretty dark blue. But when I got home (and after I took the pic) I noticed that the eyeshadow had a chunk missing. So I took it back and exchanged it for that brown pot, and bought the blue shadow single.

And here is the look I put together. One with my glasses, one without.
Oh, and the outlast lip color- I put it on ataround 3pm Thursday, it was still on my lips at 1am Friday morning, and when I woke up at around 10am Friday I STILL saw the color on my lips! Truly does what it says it will. I'll be buying more of these! I need one in every color available. lol.
