Pampers and Daylight Savings Sleep Tips + Giveaway!

For many moms, the most important thing when it comes to night time and baby, is wetness protection. Most babies will sleep 12 hrs at night, and you want a diaper that can protect that entire time. Pampers Baby Dry diapers provide up to 12 hrs of protection from wetness. That is perfect for night time, and is our nighttime diaper of choice. We as moms know that a dry night means that baby is more rested and less fussy the next day.
Pampers Baby Dry comes
in sizes 1 to 6.

Pampers Baby Dry diapers come in sizes 1-6. The diapers feature an "Ultra Absorb" core to cover up to 95% of night time loads. These diapers are also the most absorbent Baby Dry ever, with a 15% increase in capacity. Baby Dry diapers have three layers of absorbency, other diapers only have two. The area where the liquid is absorbed is longer, and has fun new graphics. The diapers are snug with stretchy sides, colored tabs and a belted design to ensure they hold up.

I can attest, these diapers really do hold up. Bella sleeps a minimum of 12 hrs at night now, and previous diapers sometimes wouldn't hold everything, and I'd find myself changing her when I went to bed just to make sure that she wouldn't leak. Well, with the Baby Dry diapers, we don't have to worry about it. Granted, you can see the diaper is full, but it doesn't leak! It keeps her clothes and bed protected.  I love the new designs on the diapers, they are really adorable.

Another battle for many moms across the country, is the upcoming daylight savings time. The time of the year when you loose an hour. Thankfully, here in Arizona we don't have to worry about it - we don't change our clocks! But the rest of the country does. Daylight savings time ends on November, 3, 2013 - so you have to remember to change your clock back an hour!

With daylight savings time ending, your baby may wake up an hour earlier. If she woke up at 7am, now it will be 6am! There are some great tips for parents who have to make this transition.

  • Make it a point to slowly adjust your child's bedtime and naptimes an hour earlier. Just 15-30 minutes a day for a few days before. This way, when you do have to change your clock, your child will be on the new schedule, and you won't be waking up an hour earlier. Not only adjusting the bed and nap times, but also adjust mealtimes accordingly as well.
  • The end of daylight savings is a great time to make sure that your child's bedtime is age appropriate. Infants and babies do best with a bedtime between 7:30 and 8 pm. Later bedtimes have shown to have a negative effect on the child's attitude and ability to focus, and can result in instances of early rising. If you find that your baby has been going to bed too early or too late, take advantage of the time change to adjust the bedtime. Gradually shift it so that it is where it should be.
  • Rely on an established soothing bedtime routine to ensure that your children know when it's time to sleep. Routines are comforting for children, so make sure that you keep your baby's routine the same, even though you will be starting it a bit later due to the time change. Make sure you change baby's diaper right before bed to prevent wet diapers and unnecessary night time awakenings.
