34 Weeks of Pregnancy.

Wow. 34 weeks already! It feels like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant. I was at my sisters house, and she got me a Walmart brand pregnancy test. And I took it. And before I was even off the toilet, the thing started showing positive.

I had no idea it would be that easy to get pregnant. I had been on the depo birth control shot for years (literally like 7 years). I know the stories, it can take up to 18 months to get pregnant - if not longer! I was only in my 6th month without the shot when we conceived. I still am in awe.

I was prepared for a long struggle. I was prepared for a battle with my body. But it was actually pretty easy. Who'da thunk it? Certainly not me. I think my husband is still in shock.

26.5 Weeks - June 7, 2012 - no make up or
anything! lol
See, for those who don't know, my husband is not my sons biological father. But it doesn't matter, because he has been there since my son was 3 months old. He is all my son knows. And at times their relationship can be rocky (my baby is a mamas boy to the extreme), but they have their sweet moments too.

But this is my husbands first time being there through a pregnancy (besides being around when his mom was pregnant with his brother LOL). And this is the first time that he will be in the delivery room, and see a newborn - literally. He has seen babies before, and held them, but not this new.  While he won't admit it, I think hes pretty scared. I think he thinks its gonna be scary.

He has already admitted to me that he thinks he won't even have time to take a shower in the hospital. I've told him several times that there will be plenty of time. Shes just one baby, and I can take care of her for 10 mins while he gets clean. But he doesn't believe me (and I hope he don't think hes coming near her not showered LOL). So I will throw in a body wash for him in my bag. As I have already planned on grabbing his flip flops and slippers to take to the hospital, among other items he will need.

I'm pretty much packed. I just need laundry to get done so I can add a pair of sweats for the ride home. I have 3 outfits I will probably take for the baby (just because I can't decide), but will also wait to see what I get from the baby shower- in case somethings cuter.

31 weeks (7/9/12), me and my son.
But wow. 34 weeks. The baby shower in 3 weeks from now, and then the baby is due on September 9 - only 3 weeks after the baby shower. But, since she is currently breech, if shes not turned around by the 16th, I will be asking my doctor to just schedule a c-section for Sept 1. I am not patient enough to wait longer, plus, I don't want to go into labor while she is breech! My first was by c-section -he really didn't want to come out, even after being induced almost 2 weeks late. I wasn't even 1cm when I went in. AND THEN didn't have him till the day after being induced. It was crazy.

My biggest struggle after she is born..... working out. I really want to get in shape, and at least get to what I was in high school. Its not that I've "let myself go"..  I think its partly genetics, and partly not wanting to work out. But after I have her, I need to get my butt in gear. And that will be my main goal.  (So, looking now for local work out buddies! lol).

I can't wait to share pictures with you all! She is gonna be gorgeous, and will break boys hearts everywhere. She will be a spoiled little princess that everyone (mostly her grandmas) will cater too. It will be hard to punish her - because she will know what a little princess she is (thanks to her grandmas LOL).

34 weeks down, 6 more to go. I am ready!
